AUSTIN MOODY ANNOUNCES SECOND ANNUAL CHARITY CONCERT BENEFITTING THE F.L.I.G.H.T. FOUNDATION

Rising country artist and Kingsport native, Austin Moody, has announced his second annual charity concert benefiting the F.L.I.G.H.T. Foundation. Following last year’s successful inaugural event, this year’s festivities will take place on May 6th, 2017 at the Wellmont Regional Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast State in Blountville, TN.  Former NFL running back, Howard Stevens, will kick off the evening with a motivational speech, followed by an intimate in-the-round performance by songwriters D. Vincent Williams and Tommy Conners.  These two have penned hits for such artists as Rascal Flatts, Willie Nelson, Ricky Skaggs, Kenny Rogers, John Michael Montgomery, Randy Travis, and Jason Aldean.  Austin Moody will conclude the evening with a full-band, high-energy performance.

A certified pilot and aviation enthusiast, Austin Moody is passionate about his support for the F.L.I.G.H.T. Foundation and its mission to build character, discipline, and team-building skills to young people.  Austin believes that the lessons instilled by the program and its founder, Lt. Col. Bill Powley, will serve as a solid foundation for success in any endeavor.  Having benefited directly from F.L.I.G.H.T. as a youth, Austin relishes in the opportunity to give back. Every penny of the proceeds from the benefit will go directly to F.L.I.G.H.T. Foundation.

About AUSTIN MOODY

Austin Moody is perhaps Nashville’s best kept secret.  A prolific professional singer/songwriter, Moody is bringing a writing and performing style that is reminiscent of a more traditional, authentic brand of country music.  As a true farm kid from the hills of East Tennessee, Moody cites legends Don Williams and Alan Jackson as his most prominent musical influences.  At the early age of 14, Austin penned his first song and took to the road touring the Tri-City region with a well-seasoned bluegrass and gospel band.  Fast forward a decade later, and Moody is the flagship artist of Nashville’s M-Pact Music Group, a publishing company headed by music business veteran, Mike Kraski, and hit songwriter and producer, D. Vincent Williams.  Moody’s much anticipated debut record is in the final stages of completion and is being produced by Williams and executive produced by Grammy-award winning producer and songwriter, Keith Stegall, whose production credits include Alan Jackson, George Jones, and Zac Brown Band.
